SUP SAFETY – can we improve the European standards?
The last decade SUP has exploded into a worldwide popularity. The last couple of years we’ve seen accidents of all sorts in SUP, which raises the question what can we do about improving SUP safety in Europe?
This topic looks at water safety incident case studies from some European countries. What the SUP industry and governance provides to improve SUP safety and how SUP safety is regulated in your country. Could it be done differently?
The aim of the topic is to have an open discussion between European national SUP experts and gain insights of how SUP is regulated around Europe. Is safety an area where it makes sense for European federations to work together?
Format
There will be a short presentation of some cases to spark off the dialogue. Afterwards it will be a controlled dialogue between all with Andy from International Surfing Association as the facilitator.
Duration
3 hours, including breaks
Price
FREE (but we still need your separate reservation, so we know you’re coming)
